Choreomania!

In 1518, a dancing plague took over the city of Strasbourg. Infecting hundreds, the government decided to hire a band to play music for the dancers thinking they will eventually get tired and go home.

This is about the band.

Karl, Viktor, and Matthais are the members of an up-and-coming minstrel troupe who can’t seem to make it big. Their patron offers them one last job to prove themselves: playing for the dancers in Strasbourg. When Karl meets patient zero, Frau Troffea, he falls in love and vows to stop the plague no matter the cost.

A raucous satire about mass hysteria and consumerism.

Music and lyrics by Josh Kight.
